Our commitment to the Balozy community
We value every member of our community and aim to create a respectful, inclusive, and safe space for all. If you encounter a behavior that violates Balozy’s Community Standards, we encourage you to report it.
Your safety is our #1 priority
We want all of us to be on the same page about safety
And so, we’re calling this page our safety pact – a 3-sided alliance between customers, pros and Balozy, with our mutual responsibilities for every single project
Guidelines for both pros and customers
- As you create your account, make sure you:
- 1. Are at least 18 years old.
- 2. Are providing real and accurate information when filling out your account (i.e. name and/or contact information).
- 3. Don’t exchange a service for another service.
- 4. Don’t create a test account.

Guidelines for Customers
- When requesting a pro or services on Balozy, please respect our service provider (Balozy pros). Make sure you:
1. Don’t use profane or sexually suggestive language in your job or message request
2. Are providing real and accurate information about your job request (no fake, scam or fraudulent information).
3. Don’t submit job requests:
– Asking for sexual services.
– Asking for illegal services or involving illegal activities
– Advertising or offering your own service
Guidelines for pros
When listing your business on Balozy, make sure you:
- 1. Don’t use profane or sexually suggestive language in your messages or on your profile.
- 2. Don’t offer fraudulent, sexual, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate services.
- 3. Are providing real and accurate information when filling out your account (i.e. name and/or contact information).
- 4. Fill out your account and business details primarily in kiswahili or English.
- 5. Are qualified, as required by law, to perform the services you’re offering on Balozy
- 6. Provide services, not products (although products accompanying services are permitted).
- 7. Don’t offer lending services.
- 8. Offer a service currently listed on Balozy. Check out our Balozy service categories
- 9. Don’t ask customers to download additional apps or complete duplicate request forms outside of Balozy
- 10. Don’t offer duplicate services.
- 11. Understand and take full responsibility of how Balozy charges work.
How we enforce Guidelines
Our Community Standards , Background checks and Terms of Service outline what is and isn’t allowed on Balozy platform. These guidelines were created to ensure a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for everyone.
While we actively monitor the platform by automated and human review, or with a combination of technology and human moderation, depending on the individual case, we strongly encourage our community to use “Report Abuse” in the app if they encounter content or behavior that violates our policies. Accounts are notified with the reason for the removal along with information on the appeal process.
What happens if a user violates Balozy policies?
Depending on the severity or repetition of the violation of our policies, the actions taken may vary from removal of content, a warning, account restriction, to permanent account suspension.
Account warnings
A user may receive a warning for breaching Balozy’s policies or guidelines, or any reported misconduct. The warning will be sent to the email address linked to the account. Warnings educate users about our policies in an effort to reduce potential future violations. They expire after 60 days.
- – Having more than one warning might lead to account permanent suspension.
- – Warnings do not limit account activity, but they can affect a service provider’s status in the level system
Account restriction
An account may be restricted as an intermediate action before permanent suspension.
-Account owners will receive a notification detailing the specific violation and the restriction of their account.
Account suspension
-Two warnings for the same violation.
-Three warnings for three different violations.
-A severe breach of Balozy policies (illegal activity, hate speech, discrimination, adult or other inappropriate services or activity, etc.)
What happens when an account is suspended?
Account owners are not able to log into suspended accounts.
What if I don’t agree with a decision?
As the account holder, you have the right to appeal a decision. Appeals can be made in the form of a complaint with Customer Support, and must be made within 6 months from the receipt of the email notification.
If your appeal is successful:
Removed content will be restored and any relevant warning will be removed from your account. A suspended account will be reinstated.
Any change to the initial decision will be communicated to you and the account holder.
If your appeal is not successful:
The original decision will be final and cannot be appealed again on Balozy.
